The Village of Wormegay

 

Wormegay is a civil parish in the county of Norfolk   covering an area of 12.18 km2 (4.70 sq mi) with a population of 359 in 141 households at the 2011 Census. It falls within the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk.

Wormegay Parish Council

 

The Parish Council is made up of members who live in the village and represent the village on various matters.  We are effectively the third tier of local government, the other two being Norfolk County Council and King's Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council

Borough and Parish Elections Results

The Notice of the Borough and Parish Council Election results has gone up on the Parish Notice Boards.  Parish Elections, Borough Elections

What We Do

The Parish Council is responsible for:

  • upkeep of the village street lighting

  • the recreation ground

  • the play area

  • commenting on planning applications

  • the war memorial

  • the village notice board

  • general maintenance around the village

Borough and Parish Elections 2nd May

The notice for Borough and Parish Council Elections has gone up on the Parish Notice Boards. Nomination papers for Parish Council elections may be obtained from the Returning Officer, King's Court, Chapel Street, King's Lynn, PE30 IEX or by email from the Parish Clerk.
